Lose 1, Win 1?
Could this be the scenario that will play out in 2010 with the retirement of Dorgan and Dodd?

Dorgan, popular leader in a red state retires and this is an opportunity for the repubs, while Dodd is an unpopular leader in a blue state that the repubs thought they could take (not so much now).

Worse case scenario we loss ND. Best case scenario we keep Conn and go after liarman and could come out with two dems from Connecticut who will work with Obama.

4. Imagine having two Democratic Senators in Conn
Edited on Wed Jan-06-10 01:41 AM by angee_is_mad
I wish both men the very best and the fought the good fight. I particularly want to thank Dodd. He knew he was tore up from the floor up as far as Connecticut was concern. Instead of running for vanity and ego, he is bowing out to keep the seat in democratic hands.

God Bless them both.

6. They were thinking Blumenthal would challenge Lieberman.
Now who will take him out? Bleh.

9. another dem?
two more years for liarman to show his ass and piss off his state, I think we can find a dem to challenge him.

I would be surprise if liarman retired. Switching to the gop would not be a good move for him in Conn, because he will be primaried and if he made out to the general he will be toast. He is acting like a man with nothing to lose.

I bet Lieberman will be a HUGE target for Dems. Any Dem that backs that creep needs to be taken out too.

12. I'd love to see more Dems, but I've learned that won't make a difference
Obama, Most of the House and all of the Senate except Sanders will work with the corporations, not for us.
