I'm sorry but the idea of Ed Shultz running for Senate isn't a good idea

ND has rather lax residency requirements and it is quite easy to run for office from a rental or vacation property.

5. Big Ed is a Big Idiot

I don't want him in the Senate or in front of the mic. While we often agree on many issues, I think he lacks a well-developed and nuanced policy perspective that Maddow has and is far less articulate than Olbermann. Honestly, I feel like Big Ed usually makes poor arguments for good policy.

We need more Senators that understand public policy, not more media personalities moonlighting as legislators. Oddly, Al Franken seems to be very adept at the business of legislation, but he's always been a smart guy.

Couldn't have said it better, except for the idiot part. Just because he is pulling for our side doesn't convince me that he is qualified to be a Senator. At least once in every broadcast he makes me cringe with some outdated narrow worldview (same goes for Tweety).

Last I heard, nobody in North Dakota has filed to run in the Democratic primary. The Republicans already have someone on the job. He cannot go unchallenged.

9. I don't think Ed's a particularly smart or even a "in touch" guy

but my guess is he'd look like Sanders compared to most Democrats we could pull out of there and way better than the most 'centrist' Republican that could be hoped for.

Normaly so would I but...Ed Schultz was a conservative turned progressive who supported Obama from the start, but he now seems to be having regrets...I remember Ed was doing his show from the Free Clinic held in Kansas City. He was talking about the Free Clinic and how many people were in the two days they were there. There was something in his voice that caught my attention, I'm not sure just what to call it...I thought I could be wrong about Ed...he has deep feelings, he cares.

Is that enough? I'm not sure, he says a lot of the right words, but will he be able to work with the party, I'm not sure.
