9. Nevada is a scary place outside the cities. Freeper heaven is what
I'd call it. We drove across the state and back again this summer. It's frightening.

3. Reid is the worst Democratic majority leader in my lifetime.
He won't be missed if he loses. I only hope we can retain his seat. I'd like to see a committed Democrat replace him.

He's an idiot, at best.

4. Please, guys, NEGRO is NOT a bad word! It's old and archaic, and it appears

in the 2010 CENSUS!!! we need to move on already. Reid is a good man, but he comes from the old school.....where NEGRO is acceptable.

And the 2010 CENSUS has that word to accommodate the older NEGROES who prefer that word to AFRICAN-AMERICAN or BLACK.

and that's that.

5. Here's the entire quote:
Edited on Sun Jan-10-10 10:40 AM by DevonRex
I do not work for Barack Obama," says Majority Leader Reid: "Democrats must be 'very, very careful' to avoid overreaching and will not rubber-stamp President-elect Obama's policies, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said Tuesday. ... Reid, who lambasted the GOP-led Congress for being a rubber stamp for President Bush, indicated that he will not bow to the Obama administration. ... 'If Obama steps over the bounds, I will tell him. … I do not work for Barack Obama. I work with him,' he said."

8. We were in Nevada this summer. You wouldn't believe
the signs we saw there. Well, actually you would. You know that state has its share of nuts, maybe even more than its share.

So, Reid may not be around much longer. I'd rather he keep the seat but lose as majority leader, as you do.
