WTF DLC!
This is my new homemade bumper sticker.

I hate the corporatist DLC! They represent everything that is wrong with the modern Democratic Party. I knew as soon as Obama picked Rahm Emmanuel that we, progressives, were fucked.

13. Yes, he was an early clue as to what we were in for,
and some people here got it, and tried to warn others, but most of those people are not here anymore, for some reason.

But yeah, putting the DLC's chief economist in charge of the campaign's economic staff should have been a dead giveaway.

2. So what are you going to do? Burn down the house,
like was done in 2000?

You need some more pain before you'll wish for any gains?

We were fucked alright, but you're pointing at the wrong team.

As for corporations, I believe that when you type on your corporate made computer,
after listening to the corporate media, then you go through a corporate made Internet
browser to get here, so you can rail against the corporations!
You also probably own a corporate made cell phone, and pay a corporation your corporate
telephone bill.

My point is that yours is an empty rant; railing cause you can.....cause of corporations.

5. Corporations should exist to serve people, not the other way around.
That's what you DLCers can't seem to grasp.

I hope you have a lot of money or are being well remunerated to spread corporatist propaganda. Otherwise you are being duped.

6. I don't like a lot that corporations do......
and I agree that there should be some reign on them....

however, to simply blur out "Corporatist" is a bunch of shit.

9. And I think we can have both corporations and
corporate responsibility to the people.

It isn't a choice between corporation or no corporations.

Somewhere between communism and social Darwinism is socially responsible capitalism.

I'm willing to keep voting anti-incumbent and anti-status quo until, if only by accident, I get a government responsive to the people.

10. We never expected 'our team' to look like the 'other team.

Rahm Emmanuel's appointment as COS was the bell weather moment. There have been no real surprises since then.

11. You're right . . . you're right . . . I know you're right . . .
we should just accept the fact that the corporate lobbiests write our legislation, and that our bought and paid for legislators are going to vote in the corporations' interests instead of ours.

As long as they don't outsource my crappy job, or don't take away my beer, my big screen TV or my DirectTV Sunday ticket.

Fuck it.

beyond a bumper fucking sticker?

Let the other team win,
so you can rant some more?

16. the "other team"? is this a football game? there is no "other team"
there are 2 sides to the same coin.

no matter which "team" "wins," the unregulated bloodsucking corporations are the winner, at the expense of We The People, the losers.

I will be voting for true populists and progressives until, as someone says upthread, even by accident, someone who truly represents We The People wins.

17. is that like, "so who else are you going to vote for"?
cause there ARE plenty of other choices besides the official corporate R and D candidates.

and as far as typing on my corporate-made computer, that is as far as I want to go with the manufacturer. It was made in a factory owned by a corporation, and I bought it. The relationship ends there. I don't care to be that corporation's serf by making up for its tax breaks with my own higher taxes or funding its CEO welfare fund or have it influence my government to let it get away with whatever it wants, including squirreling its profits in offshore accounts that are not taxed, and to turn a blind eye to its bloodsucking ways simply because it sold me a computer.

Is misunderstanding of the word "corporatist" the latest meme?
Is that some kind of reverse "reclaim the word" thing?
