Cianci says he may run again
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Mary Robertson patiently answered the questions from the pollster last week, but one in particular made her pause.

In a race between U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy, Republican John Loughlin and Vincent Cianci, the pollster asked over the phone, who would you vote for?

“She couldn’t pronounce the name right so she spelled it out. C-I-A-N-C-I,” Robertson, of Lincoln, says of the pollster. “So I thought to myself, ‘Did I miss something? Is Buddy Cianci running for Congress?’ ”

In fact, Cianci –– former mayor, current radio talk show host, and convicted felon –– says he is “taking a good look” at challenging eight-term Democratic incumbent Kennedy. He also says that a legal argument could be made to allow him to run for mayor of Providence in November, but he’s not saying whether he’ll test it.
