"During eight years in office, the Bush administration passed two major tax cuts skewed to the wealthiest Americans, enacted a costly Medicare prescription-drug benefit and waged two wars, without paying for any of it.... To put the breathtaking scope of this irresponsibility in perspective, the Bush administration's swing from surpluses to deficits added more debt in its eight years than all the previous administrations in the history of our republic combined. And its spending spree is the unwelcome gift that keeps on giving: Going forward, these unpaid-for policies will continue to add trillions to our deficit."
"There's an old saying that everyone is entitled to his own opinions, but not his own facts. The next time Karl Rove would like to offer us some advice, I'd urge him to take that to heart."Axelrod's article here: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/01/14/AR2010011403909.html

4. Remember when some here suggested that the Republicans wouldn't want this mess? |
|
...and would be just as happy to stick the Dems with the bill (i.e., the Presidency)?
Even worse? Everybody here forgot that Obama was handed an untenable set of circumstances and can think of nothing good to say, when in reality he's done a really good job of juggling the banking collapse, the automakers collapse, the housing market collapse and is likely going to get healthcare reform after 60 years of trying. Anybody who sees this as failure is not fit to judge a game of horseshoes.

6. This needs to be said by every Democrat during every interview |
|
where a Repug spews crap: "everyone is entitled to his own opinions, but not his own facts." I loved it when Franken said it to Thune on the Senate floor. http://rawstory.com/2009/2009/12/franken-slams-gop-senate-floor-youre-entitled-facts/
