Bush: Keep politics out of Haiti response

Keep the response to Haiti's earthquake crisis politics-free, former President George W. Bush urged Sunday.
Bush, who's leading a fundraising drive for Haitian relief along with former President Bill Clinton, urged people to keep politics out of response to the disaster.
"Keep politics out of Haiti," Bush said Sunday during an appearance on CNN when asked about conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh's assertion that President Barack Obama's response to the crisis in Haiti was driven by political calculations.
"There's going to be a lot of comments," Bush said, without directly commenting on Limbaugh. "My focus is on helping the desperate people down there, and I think a lot of American people feel the same way."
Clinton also didn't address Limbaugh's remarks directly, but said that, much like Clinton's having come together with Bush, people should come together to support Haiti.
"The only political thing that I hope comes out of this is that they keep their political convictions, but keep each other as friends," he said. "I hope it humanizes us all."
