MTP: Stupid Quote of the Day, courtesy of Karen Hughes
On today's Meet The Press, Karen Hughes says

would you, would you admit that (Obama) has governed far to the left of the way he campaigned? He campaigned as a centrist and has not governed that way.

I can't think of a single policy that is to the left of his campaign rhetoric. Everything has either been the same, or shifted to the right. This has to be the most idiotic thing I've heard on a Sunday morning in a long time.

11. It's not relativity, it's just plain wrong.
I understand relativity, that people on one side will feel something is too left or right, while people on the other side feel the opposite. But this isn't a question of perspective. She's comparing his campaign rhetoric to his actions. Can *anyone* name even ONE thing that he has done that has been more to the *left* than his campaign position? I seriously doubt it.

I just wonder, is she that stupid, or is she intentionally lying?

There was a time when the "opposition party" could discuss genuine disagreements. Now they just make stuff up.

10. Gak,
wasn't that when she told the Egyptians that "One nation, under God" is part of the Constitution?

It's hard to be outshined by a dim bulb, but she manages nicely.

7. I saw that ignorant beyotch on TV spinning herself into a tizzy
and making shit up. According to her the econony was turning around in 2008. Uh huh. Then why, pray tell, did Bush create the TARP fund? Too bad genuis Gregory didn't pose that question. Maybe Bush just wanted to bankrupt the country before he left, which is always been a goal of the GOP.

Must all Republicans be such lying saks of shit as Hughes, Matlin, Guiliani, Perrino and the rest? Apparently so.

9. Michelle Bachmann must be writing Karen's talking points now
She was on Pat Robertson's 700 Club last week (the day after his "Haiti made a pact with Satan" comment) claiming that Obama was the most left wing radical President ever, Harry Reid was the most left wing radical majority leader ever, and Nancy Pelosi was the most left wing radical speaker of the house ever.

Shit, if only that were true. :evilfrown:
