DO NO. REPEAT DO NOT. Pay any attention to the Insider Advantage Poll on the MA race
Edited on Mon Jan-18-10 05:05 PM by Perky
Insider Advantage is run by Matt Towery (I have known this guy since 1978, as a high school debater in Metro Atlanta) He is a republican hack, and former director of the Georgia GOP.

7. It has Brown winning 18-29 y.o.'s 61-30
That's ridiculous. Every other poll has Coakley ahead among that age group.

And I say this even though I think the odds of a 5-7 point Brown victory are actually fairly high.

11. All these percentages being thrown around!
How does anybody know what percentage voted for who? There's no way to know. The paper could be hand-counted at the local level, of course, but it won't be.

The votes will be counted on easily hackable Diebold opscans.

The company running the election will be LHS Associates, a firm of dubious, criminal background which sells, services and programs the machines.

I predict here that Coakley will win this election, even if she loses, and NOBODY will be able to prove me wrong either. If Coakley happens to lose, who can prove she didn't really win? If she wins, who can prove that she didn't lose? Answer: NOBODY.

13. Agree 100%. That's why we should stop paying attention to internal polls, too
Edited on Mon Jan-18-10 09:18 PM by Irish_shark
In other threads, we have made a big deal about internal polls, which are owned by the candidates themselves. Can it get more biased than that?
