So the Corporate media really does hate us, doesn't it?
Edited on Mon Jan-18-10 04:59 PM by FrenchieCat
They helped impeach Clinton,
served us 2 terms of Bush,
sold us on war,
Assisted in our financial ruin,
and are now working hard to give away Ted Kennedy's seat to the GOP!

They want their Corporate Tax breaks,
love the Free Market ideology,
don't want regulations,
want to profit from Big Pharma Advertising,
and work to divide us everywhich way so that we can fight it out....

And they do this by manipulating us,
and slanting coverage to benefit the Republicans....
and praying that enough to make a difference trust big media,
especially when it speaks with one voice.....

I know that I shouldn't hate them back....but I do!

1. You're right to hate them
Now you've just got to STOP hating the Left.

It's time to admit that WE were never the problem.

2. I am the Left.
Edited on Mon Jan-18-10 05:03 PM by FrenchieCat
And if you think otherwise,
you really do have a problem.

The difference between you and I is that
I understand that there will always be a
big tent price to pay,
and also exactly because of the media.....
you can't expect miracles to be performed by the left,
because the media is right there to make sure
it doesn't happen.

3. Then stop attacking the rest of the Left when all it's guilty of is defending its principles
I do like your OP. You just need to rememeber it's only the RIGHT you should be attacking.

4. You are attacking me.
I am attacking the media.

It appears that you are confused as to who
the real enemy is.

5. The media is not as bad as anyone thinks.
Both sides cry viciously, passionately, and sincerely that they are being attacked by a biased media. It's most likely somewhere in the middle.

8. Its time to admit we ALREADY are a 3-party system...
Right - The "Tea-Party" moron brigade is filled with conservative ideologues that have realized they were sold out on their beloved social issues and they do not care (as much) about the financial side of the ideology...

"Center" - Corporatists of all stripes....many different flavors for many different electoral needs, but one pay master and overlord - Corporate American Campaign Cash. Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, Bush I.5, Obama...all bought and paid for by various special interests and all VERY loyal lap dogs once securely in office...

Left - ??? Democrats? PLEASE....I bought that shit LAST YEAR....the only change I can believe in is the pennies on the dollar that big banks were able to steal assets for last year. Obama is a fraud and is just as bad for the overall economy as Bush the lesser was for everything. No, what people on the left have become is a useful tool for blue dogs to solidify their standing until the rest of the morons known as the American voting public return the Repukes to power in 9 months...

Its a sad, sad day when the only people who are acutely aware of the broom being shoved up our collective ass worship Beck and Palin and care more about abortion and school prayer than building and maintaining a stable and functioning society....

9. You left out the party of Corporate media......
who own the biggest microphones of all!

The only thing that is going to happen is that we are about to take a right turn lurch.....
and it is because of folks like you who want all or nothing....

You want all,
the teabaggers want nothing.

Only one will get his/her way, and it ain't you.

Thank the media for that.
They know what they are doing,
and they know how to do it.

13. If a Democrat had made the curling iron remark, it would be 24/7
coverage and they wouldn't be mincing words about what was said and what it meant. You're exactly right that the corporate media is protecting their interests by influencing the election.

15. I often wonder if the corporatemediawhores
ever thought beyond their bottom line? Who would support them if they had their way and the country was even more sold down the river than bush-cheney managed?

Could just the uber riche support them and all the gop corporations they pump up? They would wipe out the clean air and water and I think perhaps people would revolt on their asses in that not too distant future if it were allowed to happen.

But, we're here with Pres Obama to make sure it doesn't.
