Pete Domenici Jr. to run for governor
ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The race to earn the Republican nomination for governor is about to get more crowded.

News 13 has learned that Pete Domenici Jr. will official jump into the race this weekend.

Domenici Jr. is an Albuquerque lawyer with no political experience, but he carries a big last name in New Mexico politics.

"It's pretty big news for the Republican Party they have a major name now and he probably starts with an advantage because of that but it's not going to be any easy task for him to get the nomination," political analyst Joe Monahan said.

There are four other Republicans in the field.

1. lousy candidate, no experience, only running on a name. He needs to
work his way up, pay his dues if he wants to be taken seriously.
