How could ANY MA Democrat vote for Brown?
He's a complete asshole - the curling iron comment at his rally, and now video of Brown accusing Obama's mother of having him out of wedlock.

I just don't get it. I don't believe the media or the polls.

12. Ah, I see...
As long as he didn't vote for Brown, or actively convince others to, it's all good I suppose.

21. Actually yes it is
He has very honestly expressed his expressions, both on Coakley and over the years. I have not always agreed, but his points were always intelligent and expressed in a civil way.

I think a candidate has to earn someone's support before they actively work to lobby others. Here, it was important that he had looked at her record and it was that record that troubled him. However, he always said Brown was worse, never advocated a vote for him - even to send a message, and he just said he voted for Coakley.

For that I think those of us wanting her to win - for whatever reasons - need to thank him and hope many with his beliefs do the same thing.

13. I'm a Capuano voter. I'm holding my nose and voting for her.
I am even making calls for her, because thee is a huge onslaught of far-right groups coming into Mass trying to swing our election.

7. The guy I talked to said that...
Edited on Mon Jan-18-10 08:47 PM by tmyers09
Coakley "hasn't shown who she really is" and that Brown "was the best man for the job". And this guy voted for Obama. Guess he just sways whichever way the wind blows, easily influenced by whatever sentiment is popular.

14. Was He A Democrat?
or Unaffiliated?

During the 08 campaign, I spoke to many so-called Independent voters and found them to be boring, lazy, uninformed, easily manipulated and stupid, because they let the registered Dems and those wankers on the other side make the most important decision for them. In Colorado "unaffiliated" voters can not vote in primaries.

And you are oh so right-on when it comes to them going whichever, which way the wind blows.

Tomorrow will BLOW big time if the teabagger wins.

15. Lots of conservative "Dems" in Massachusetts
Massachusetts have a very large conservative wing that's just as right-wing as the national GOP. People like John Silber, Tom Finneran, former Gov. Ed King (Reagan's favorite governor), etc.

Lots of working-class voters who are Democratic for historical/cultural reasons but are fairly right-wing and sometimes bolt.

16. As a West Virginia Democrat
I don't ever want to hear any elitist bashing of my part of the country again.
If Massachusetts is dumb enough to elect a teabagger to Kennedy's seat, they forfeit any and all right to liberal pride.

25. Well...
....y'all do keep electing a Klansman.

Love West Virginia - despise Byrd. No one would ever forgive a congressman that was a former klansman if he were a Repub. I see no reason to give Byrd a pass.

That is your cross to bear...not mine.

18. Independents outnumber Dems in MA. Republicans come in last.......

MA is a more moderate state than people think. I personally favored John Capuano (something like that), over Coakley in the runoffs. He probably would have nailed this Senate seat down for the Dems........

29. How could any sane American vote for "W"...twice?
This after he drove three businesses into the ground. Anyone who paid attention correctly predicted he would do the same to the country. Unfortunately, more did not pay attention. They were too busy buying into the bullshit about Al Gore's brown suits and his alleged "lies", and later, John Kerry's alleged "flip flops" and "elitism." You and I may not believe the media or the polls, but unfortunately, a large chunk of our country does. Too lazy to do their homework, perhaps?
