This is via Mark Knoller's Tweets...

Americans much less impressed with Congress: 23% approve of its performance, 63% disapprove.

CBS News poll shows Obama with an 80% approval rating for his handling of Haiti; 60% for terrorism; 46% economy; 40% health care.

Knoller says these figures are from this poll....

.... but you wont find this listed in that article. (Or at least I cant find it.)

Generally I take polls with a grain of salt .... but it's always fun to read some of these underreported responses.

4. Another "manufactured" poll. I see little to no leadership at all.
Edited on Tue Jan-19-10 08:44 AM by ShortnFiery
President Obama can give one hell-of-a speech but when "push comes to shove" he's not the one to turn to for the TOUGH DECISIONS.

To say I'm disappointed with his seemingly endless pragmatism and "lost in thought" continence ... would be an understatement. :(

Perhaps the people have confused "management" with "leadership?"

Managers are people who do things right, while leaders are people who do the right thing.

5. W T F !
and I am serious ...

You are knocking the guy for "doing things right?"

If that an Fin joke?

The only people who match the retardedness of right wingers hating him for simply be a D, are completely delusional left wingers who can't get past their sacred cow ...

When the choice comes down to whatever R would be foisted into the white house or this horrible man who who horrifically does things right, you thank god you have what you got?

You can count on ONE hand the number of policians who consistly "do the right thing."

Simply getting a president who is doing things right is a MASSIVE improvement over ANY R, and is what we had in Clinton for the most part, who was the best we had since JFK - keeping in mind that Carter "did the right thing" and got booted after a year for going, and pathed the way for REAGEN, which is pretty much what got us where we are at now ...

The man is not perfect, and I have my bones with things with him ... But, as far as presidents go, we have had FAR worse, will have far worse ... I hate it, because I would rather have someone who was able to tact us more in the direction we know would be best, but given the MSM, the public ... I hate to tell you this, skippy ...

It is BO or F A R worse ...

6. The man is far from perfect and "a leader" makes difficult decisions based on
Edited on Tue Jan-19-10 09:10 AM by ShortnFiery
what's morally correct.

The VAST MAJORITY of President Obama's decisions have favored future TRILLIONS more for "endless warmongering" by the Pentagon and MIC as well as GIFTING BILLIONS to Wall Street.

Forget the damn speeches, President Obama's BEHAVIOR suggests that he's nothing more than "a puppet" of the Ruling Elites on Wall Street and within the MIC.

7. You should look closer at that poll and other indicators

The support from Dems of the President is somewhat soft and getting softer.

That report also says "Three in four Democrats think President Obama has been a good or very good president", which is a drop of about 10% from several months ago.

It is evident that they like him and want to "believe", but they are concerned about his policies. Only 35% of respondents thought that Obama has "brought change to Washington".

This one I am sure the President will be watching. Are people losing trust or is is a reflection of his time in office. He is going to need to increase these numbers or they will indicate further softening:

"HAS OBAMA KEPT CAMPAIGN PROMISES?
All of them 2%
Most of them 17%
Some of them 43%
Hardly any 32%"

So 75% think that he has only been keeping "some" or hardly any (Repubs no doubt) promises.

Another Poll out today at MSNBC has his leadership rate at only 54%, so there is a lot of variation depending on how the question is asked.
