Why we lost and why we will continue to lose...
We lost for a whole variety of reasons.

The major one is that there is a whole wing of the free media out there that is every day, 24/7 relentlessly pounding out negative propaganda.

We snicker and make snide remarks but there are a lot of people out there who would probably not have voted if not for Beck, Limbaugh, Hanni ty etc, etc, etc...

We also had a candidate, from what I understand, who treated the people as if they were something to be suffered...

They had a candidate who never wavered from his given message, never...

They painted the left one way and put us on defense before the first health care reform committee meetings were even held.

They controlled the agenda from the beginning to the end.

Period.

We were out flanked, out maneuvered and out played almost every step of the way.

Meanwhile we were chasing after a sure majority looking really weak in the process as the GOP stood strong and never wavered.

We compromised at ever chance we were given while the GOP looked like the Spartans blocking the barbaric Persian hordes.

Meanwhile we laugh and snicker.

My, aren't we precious now.

We don't want to be seen as a party that is top down and yet they play the rank and file like expendable soldiers...

2. As opposed to standing outside Fenway Park? In the cold? Shaking hands?

7. This is exactly right
They control the message, the narrative, about what is happening, and that translates to votes. The GOP is great at messaging and spreading the propaganda. Yes, it is the likes of Beck and Limbaugh and Fox News that make it happen. But the Dems are piss poor about strategy and messaging and creating a counter narrative. I think that is the crux of the problem. That and the filibuster which warps everything and forced the dilution of health care so no once could stand it anymore.

10. It's the same problem as always: No spine
Not everyone follows politics as closely as we do. Too many voters in MA from today turn on the TV and see them teabaggers barking up a storm. Then they see the Dems doing jack shit about it.

The Republicans have been trying to bust Obama's kneecaps for a year.

Meanwhile, Obama is inviting them over for tea and cookies.
