What would upset the Republicans most now? Passing the Health Care Bill
Edited on Wed Jan-20-10 09:24 AM by CreekDog
Having the House quickly pass the Senate Bill and getting to work on changes to be made in reconciliation.

Dems, act like you have 59 votes, not 39.

Pass the damn bill, otherwise Republican obstructionism and campaign tactics will be written in the textbook that people use to beat you in 2010.

1. The Repugs LOVE the present Senate Bill. If the Bill gets split, and good stuff put back in, okay

2. Van Hollen said last week that the Mass. seat wasn't necessary
to pass HCR. He said it would pass in reconcilliation. Why are they just bringing that up now?
Why did we give away EVERYTHING good about HCR to satisfy the repubs and "moderates" who will NEVER vote for it anyway?

3. Because stuff passed through reconciliation is shitty. It isn't permanent.
And its very limited what we can pass using using that approach. People need to learn more about reconcilation. Its not what you think it is.

4. That tis exactly what the right wants to happen.
There are so many poison pills in that bill they would have all kinds of ammo for 2010
