The RW thinks Brown's win is a sign the Republicans are back
The bullshit is flying

<...>

Obama is the snob now. He is the one who wants to tell middle class Americans how to live their lives. He is the one who telling us that we are too fat, too dumb, too rustic, too red-neck, and too greedy. He is the one who wants us all to change to fit better his definition of what America should be all about.

Obama seems overly fascinated with himself (who can forget the picture of him carrying a copy of the GQ issue that featured the President on the cover). He and his family appear on at least one magazine cover a week (a posed picture, not an action shot). He loves to talk, and he loves to give speeches with his nose turned slightly up at the teleprompter.

The President’s populist demagoguery is unconvincing. He talks of reigning in government spending, but does nothing to veto any spending bill from the Congress. He talks of punishing the banks, but does so by raising taxes (which will hurt lending and hit the middle class the hardest). He talks of taking on the drug industry, as he defends the deals he cuts with them.

The President and the Democrats are not the underdogs. They are the establishment. They are running the government. They are raising the taxes. They are spending the money. They are passing unconstitutional mandates (according to some) on those who can’t afford to pay the penalties.

It is the Republicans who are now the underdogs. Nobody gave them a shot, no body took them seriously, nobody thought they would be back so soon.

But as Scott Brown showed, the Republicans are back. America loves an underdog, even if those underdogs are Republicans.

1. But bullshit is very effective with Idiot Amerika. Until Dems take the war to the pukes,
they will continue to lose.

By trying to sound intellectual, they feed into the simplistic meme from the GOP that the post reflects.

2. It's looking more and more like they're going to blow it with their hubris.
The GOP is NOT "back", they simply won one additional seat and still have super-minority status.

3. That article was easily one of the most
inane pieces of drivel I have read in months. Unfortunately, too many Americans will swallow that pile of "American Exceptionalist" garbage whole.

5. He does? Excuse my ignorance on his policies, but really?
If that's the case, I'm really surprised.

6. Well yeah, he IS from Mass!
New England elects Repubs but not the socially conservative kind. Mittens had to flip flop all over the place during his Presidential run because he was socially liberal once too.

7. Oh you mean they are admitting they were out in the cold.
And besides haven't the democrats WON TWO CONGRESS ELECTIONS. So one puts the republicans out in front, huh, just like the guy who said the republicans now have a majority with their 41 to 59 senate seats.

9. They would think that, but we still have the majorities and a lot can happen between now and Nov.
That was one of the things that bothered me about a win for Brown, it would really engergize the Repub base and the Tea partiers.

12. The RW word of the month is "arrogant"
Ranks right up their with "uppity" which is the point. I heard every RW pundit use it tonight, Tweety even called them out on it. I have also seen it used on this board a few times today. Interesting.

The point of doing this is to try to prevent Obama from coming out front and center with the confidence to go on the attack. And if he does, to paint him as being arrogant. Unfortunately for them, he's going to do humble big time during the state of the union and then go on the attack with a big populist message.

Republicans think they are making a come back. They have a lower approval rating than any other group. Talk about being arrogant.
