I don't know how we are going to get Republicans to support our issues |
|
When we can't even get Democrats to.
And maybe this says something about how to prioritize those two things.

2. lol, we could try to persuade that new guy who says he wants health care for all.... |

... ha ha. Here's an interesting article on how Brown fits into the Senate's political spectrum. Remember how Nelson was the 60th least progressive member? With Kirk gone, Nelson moves one spot to the left making BROWN the 60 most progressive. http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2010/01/scott-brown-is-more-liberal-than.htmlI would imagine those pickup games with the President he joked about last night are going to happen sooner than he thinks.

3. Job #1. Figure out what your issues are!!! |
|
Our issues change so often that I am not sure what they are anymore.
Health care for all... Well, health care for most... health care for some... well, HEALTH INSURANCE FOR ALL.
Let's go after Wall Street and regulate properly... well, too big to fail, so let's add some regulations... well, regulation really get in the way, so let's just give them money and make the market go up!
Big Giant Banks Are The Problem time to put some controls in place... well... let's just give em a bunch of cash and hope they don't do it again.
End the Iraq War... well, slowly end the Iraq War... well, deemphasize the Iraq war... well, let's just rename it!
