2. Unfortunately the SCOTUS is right leaning and politically motivated.
It is sickening.

3. This is a bit far beyond "right leaning"
and entirely expected- which is why the "justices" invoolved should never have been confirmed.

7. The ACLU also agrees with the decision...
I am still waiting to hear how this decision is so cataclysmic when organizations like the ACLU and AFL-CIO support it.

I can see where it may give the right some more benefit than it would the left overall, but I don't see how this is a some democracy killer.

10. To me the decision itself isn't even a big issue...
Edited on Thu Jan-21-10 09:05 PM by TTUBatfan2008
it's just an affirmation of what's been going on for decades and will continue going on. I tend to side with the free speech side of this, but at the same time I think we desperately need campaign finance reform. It's really two different issues altogether. I don't have a problem with a company putting out an anti-Hillary, anti-Obama, anti-Bush, or anti-whatever movie. I don't see it any different from Michael Moore's anti-Bush movies. At the same time, I am glad that people are starting to finally bang the drum about the fact that we are being marched towards slavery by the corporations that have bought off our government over the last 100+ years. It would be great if there would be serious campaign finance reform. I doubt it will happen though.

I would think that Keith would have been mentioned if Dan is still at MSNBC.
