Now that the dust has settled...
No seriously...I don't need that much time...maybe we can see this as an opportunity to start over with the HCR bill in a way? How is it that we have let one person's seat in the senate dictate the policy for the entire democratic party?

I say we start recrafting the HCR bill again and go for it. At the end of the day, if we back off, we look like losers and support for the party will really plummet. Lets polish the bill, make the necessary modifications and vote on it. We might be surprised by the support that we do get from some republicans (or might not) but at the end of the day, if it fails, it will not be because we lost 1 seat, but because the republicans refused to consider a national health care policy for this country and voted against it.

I still think we have a chance of sending this through. Hey...when you stumble, make it part of the dance. Let's just get up, dust ourselves off and fight the good fight.

2. So we tuck our tail between our legs and turn around?
No. We all need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and find the fight in us. Let's actually harnish our outrage, speak out and demand some power from the officials that we worked so hard to get elected.

9. What do you suggest we do?
Other than that typical palliative cure, writing your elected officials (which I have already done), what else is there to do? Is someone planning a march on washington? I'm down. Anything?

at least my life has been...and I can honestly tell you that I wouldn't have gotten as far as I have if I had let the shitstorms dictate the direction of my life.

Yes it sux, but we need to focus on solutions now and not wallowing and blaming.

13. I refuse to be self defeatist.
The only thing depression helps is with eating less.
I watched CNBC tonight and the hacks on Wall St. and Maria Bartiromo acted like someone died, which made me pleased.
