How will the SC decision effect K Street? Will it generate more lobbyist jobs or |
|
will it bypass the lobbyist and go directly to the House and Senate. If they buy the House and Senate why bother with a high priced lobbyist.
Will we trim the process and loss more jobs?

1. They won't need lobbyists as much ... |
|
since they will be able to install their shills directly into congress and the house.

2. The lobbyists will now be the ones dishing out the blackmail. |
|
Vote for this or suffer the wrath of our corporate ad budget. Got a problem with that? Take it up with the SCOTUS who have already ruled that it is legal.
This ruling is a lobbyist's wet dream. It makes their job so much easier.

6. I think they'll dump their lobbyists |
|
I read during the HCR "debate" that there were something like six lobbyists for every member of Congress. I think that ratio will reverse.
Now that they can simply buy Congress, I see a need for a kind of Congressional CabanaBoy manager--someone who oversees the work of the Senate and House CabanaBoys to make certain they're doing the job they were hired to do.
Maybe one Congressional CabanaBoy Overseer for every six Congressional CabanaBoys...
I might apply to a job like that! Hey, you Congressional CabanaBoys, get up off your asses and get to work now! The BigCorp CEO wants more than $250,000 a day!

7. The beauty of the ruling is that REAL CASH isn't even needed. |
|
It's the THREAT of a multimillion dollar campaign against said pols which will now do the job. In most cases we'll never even see the corruption taking place.
It'd say less lobbyists... Why waste cash taking pols golfing when you can just write them a letter stating, "Your Ass is Mine!".
