Note to Today's Nader Haters: Bush would not have EVEN HAD a first term, let alone a second, had it |
|
been for him handing the keys to the get away car right to Dick's Bush. So let's make sure that megalomaniac never gets the chance to hand off those keys again...to anybody.
FUCK RALPH NADER AND THE HORSE HE CAME IN ON. FUCK HIM!!!!!!!!!

3. Can I also blame the creators of the "butterfly ballot" |
|
the "hanging chad", voters who couldn't understand the ballot instructions, the Supreme Court, Pat Buchanan, Harry Brown, John Hagelin, Howard Phillips, and Elian Gonzalez?

4. Jeb Bush & Cruella Harris, for the ethnic cleansing of the Florida voter rolls BEFORE election day |
|
and you can't leave out the DLC, who told Gore to run as that mushy middle candidate described as "stiff & wooden", completely mismanged his campaign, and sandbagged him with a right wing douchebag running mate.

6. that's why I said he handed the keys to the get away car to them... because had he (OMFG) |
|
It warrants saying again, had he KEPT HIS FREAKING WORD (what he is famous for calling people out on himself) the butterfly ballots, the electronic purging et al, would not have enabled them to steal. HE DID enable them. He handed them the means.

And I don't buy it for one minute that she didn't know exactly what would happen.

9. This OP has got to be better than the one that spawned it |
|
I have no idea what's up with all of the Nader talk around here lately but I really couldn't care less.
At least you didn't pull some stuff out of your butt and then scream "you just don't UNDERRRRSTAAAAND!!!ONE!" at every single person who responded to it like that other OP. Good God. If that person spent half as much time being as cogent as they are hateful and ridiculous they'd be forever on the greatest page instead of on DU's Greatest Number of Locked Threads Hall of Fame.

23. "No great loss" is a serious understatement. I can't help but visualize that person |
|
as being damn near anorexic with the amount of energy and calories they must burn being an asshole to every single member of this site.
And it would be one thing if they were clever or even RIGHT about something every once in a while. Nope. Just that winning combination of "mean as a snake and dead damn wrong" every single day. It's kind of sad, actually...

10. Note to those who still don't get it (and will likely never learn) |
|
Had Democrats stood up for traditional Democratic values instead of enabling, legitimizing and even voting for (and signing) right wing Republican policies- Nader would never have had a constituency in the first place!
And lo and behold- here you go again, inviting the same sorts of results, too clueless understand why this is happening to you.
For some it's sad- but with others, it's nothing short of pathetic.

17. Nader lied, and he will continually be called on it, it's not that he ran in itself, it's that he |
|
lied about Bush and Gore being the same. the parties being the same.
they are not the same. the supreme court being the biggest example of it.
Nader could have expressed differences without lying and saying the parties and candidates are the same and it makes no difference who is in office.
in 2003 Nader said gore would have gone into iraq also.

and get over it. How about focusing on the fact that almost 50% of eligible voters did not cast a vote either way. Or that Gore could not even win Tennessee and Arkansas. And Gore got more votes nation wide than did Bush.
Nader is not the reason why Bush stole the election. Have you ever thought that those 90,000 votes for Nader may not have been cast at all, or heaven forbid for Bush.
And I bet you took joy the way Perot helped Clinton win both his terms.
Peace

19. Yep. Its all Nader's fault |
|
Edited on Sat Jan-23-10 05:36 AM by Juche
Not the fault of the poorly designed ballots that gave several thousand votes intended for Gore to Pat Buchanun
Not New Hampshire's fault for voting GOP (had they gone dem Gore would've won w/o Florida)
Not Gore's fault for not carrying his home state
Not Katherine Harris's fault for disqualifying 90,000 black voters 'by accident', taking away about 80,000 net votes for Gore off the rolls.
Not the fault of anyone associated with the Gore campaign for not running a good enough campaign.
Not the fault of the democratic party for being triangulating versions of 'republican-lite', which made the left feel they weren't represented in either party and needed a 3rd party to vote for.
Nope, its all Nader's fault. The guy who got us seat belts and makes the democratic party feel threatened enough to actually take the left serious.
