Most people's frustration with Christ Matthews is his asking a question of a guest then talking over the guest's answer. It is nearly impossible to get a thought out response to a CW question for that reason. You need about a three second soundbite prepared for every question.

I have Verizon Fios and they don't carry MSNBC in the NY Metro area. It has something to do with MSNBC signing an exclusive deal with Cablevision, so people in most of NYC (where Cablevision operates) and all of North Jersey can only see MSNBC if they have cable and not FIOS.

I miss Keith but it saves me a lot of agita not to have to watch Tweety and the other clowns on that station.

This will not be passed by reconciliation.

It really is just talk. The Democratic leadership is stepping away from HCR, but they can't just blurt out that they are quitting on it all at once. So they indicate they are reviewing their options, and let people like Grayson talk reconciliation happy talk, but the truth is, no bill will be passed this way. It just isn't going to happen.

The polls are just too far against it now. Even if progressives in the House hold their nose and vote for the Senate bill, the current environment is so poor that most moderates and conservadems in the House will simply not support it. The Senate has no stomach for this fight now. I don't know how much clearer it can be.
