1. Ignore it.
It's still reality.

2. He's done what he said he'd do, and more...
During his first year in office, President Obama has acted on a wide range of issues, from the economy to terrorism and wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

He has so far:

-- Passed a $787 billion economic stimulus plan.
-- Unveiled a series of measures to help troubled banks, homeowners and small businesses.
-- Reversed many Bush-era initiatives, such as detention policies and harsh interrogation practices.
-- Increased the number of U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
-- Announced a plan to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq.
-- Overturned a Bush-era policy that limited federal tax dollars for embryonic stem cell research.
-- Proposed a 2010 budget that included key energy, education and health care programs.

Obama is working to pass health care legislation and has an energy bill winding its way through the halls of Congress.

4. Sure some good things...I guess
During his first year in office, President Obama has acted on a wide range of issues, from the economy to terrorism and wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
He has so far:
-- Passed a $787 billion economic stimulus plan.
>>Yes good, but circumstances forced his hand, and the final "stimulus" was watered down to placate Re;publicans who voted against it. And it was presented with a lot of apologies: "We have to do this because of the emergency. But we don't like it and we promise to go back to consrvativ e government once the crisis has passed.

-- Unveiled a series of measures to help troubled banks, homeowners and small businesses.

Largely ineffective so far. And helping troubled banks is code for bail outs for Big ban ks. Smaller responsible banks weren't troubled and many haven't wanted or needed help.

-- Reversed many Bush-era initiatives, such as detention policies and harsh interrogation practices.

Some improvement but gthe jury's still out. And the patriot Act renewal seems to be slipping below the radar.

-- Increased the number of U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
A campaign promise kept. But not one of his better promises.

-- Announced a plan to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq.
Okay, sure. Why not?

-- Overturned a Bush-era policy that limited federal tax dollars for embryonic stem cell research.
An easy one. Apple pie and motherhood.

-- Proposed a 2010 budget that included key energy, education and health care programs.
Obama is working to pass health care legislation and has an energy bill winding its way through the halls of Congress.
Proposed a budget? Remarkable.

7. First Year Progress Report:
*WARS fully funded and EXPANDING. Bill sent to our children…...Mission Accomplished !

*Trillion Dollars given to friends and campaign contributors on Wall Street. No Strings Attached...Mission Accomplished!

*Military Spending INCREASED....Mission Accomplished!

*Trillion+ Dollars given to the Health Insurance Industry. Easily Avoidable, symbolic only strings attached....Mission almost Accomplished!

*Force all Americans to buy invisible products from For Profit Corporations who manufacture nothing and create no wealth (value added).....Mission almost Accomplished!

*Kill the possibility for a REAL "Public Option" or REAL Universal Health Care for at least another generation, and begin the “Entitlement Reform” defunding of Medicare (-$500 Billion)....Mission almost Accomplished!

*Block ANY REAL re-regulation of BIG BANKS and Credit Cards....Mission Accomplished!

*Protect the Bush War Criminals and Torturers from JUSTICE....Mission Accomplished.

*Throw the GBLTs under the bus and expand "faith based" initiatives....Mission Accomplished!

*Reinforce the worst Police State provisions of the Patriot Act....Mission Accomplished!

*Protect the very richest. Tell the Working Class that they CAN WILL compete with 3rd World Slave Labor for their jobs.....Mission Accomplished!

*EFCA (Employee Free Choice Act) killed in the crib....Mission Accomplished!

*More Anti-LABOR "Free Trade"....Mission almost Accomplished!

*Jobless Recovery....Mission Accomplished

*The Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party SHUT OUT of the Obama Administration…...Mission Accomplished!

*Accelerate the destruction of Public Education...Mission Accomplished!

*Bury next generation under such a debt burden that they will never be able to afford any social or economic programs that will benefit their Working Class....Mission Accomplished.

AND, ALL that in less than a year.

"I did not campaign on a Public Option."

* Would you favor or oppose the national government offering everyone the choice of a government administered health insurance plan — something like the Medicare coverage that people 65 and older get — that would compete with private health insurance plans?

Favor 82%

Oppose 14%

Not Sure 4%

"There are forces within the Democratic Party who want us to sound like kinder, gentler Republicans. I want us to compete for that great mass of voters that want a party that will stand up for working Americans, family farmers, and people who haven't felt the benefits of the economic upturn."---Paul Wellstone

10. Truth
Mission Accomplished.

Would you like to refute any of the claims in the post?

or just rely on snark to carry your message.

OR, you could ask the voters in Massachusetts.

"When given the choice between a Republican, and a Democrat who acts like a Republican, the voters will choose the Republican every time." ---Harry Truman

14. Thanks.
This thread just proves how much in denial some people are. There is nothing rational about ignoring everything to justify one's disappoint.
