Private Insurance is NOT a mechanism to promote social justice. |
|
It is supposed to RATE people who are more expensive as substandard risks. It is supposed to DECLINE individuals who are expected to be more expensive to cover. It is supposed to make you whole when RARE ACCIDENTS befall you.
GOVERNMENT social insurance is supposed to provide for a minimal level of existence. It REDISTRIBUTES based on need not on providing equal services to all.
We've got the role of these types of entites all wrong to provide HCR.

It creates absolutely nothing of value that you can't get for free under single payer.

2. Single payer isn't free. Those who have much or are in good health pay for those who are sick. |

Yes, it is not "free" because you pay taxes for it but sick people do not make direct payments.
