The main thing we need to do right now is get our message out to farther and wider audience. So, I'm thinking, if there is anyone who works on the announcement system at shopping malls, maybe they can hook up their iphones or ipods and play all the greats sounds of liberal radio broadcasters to the whole of shopping malls across coast to coast. Maybe if you work as a football announcer at the game you could hook this up too, or at hospitals wherever we can find them. A nice captive audience, wherever, they maybe. If you work in a bar, and cafe, if the manager will allow it try to get them to allow you to play an hour or 2 of the lefts finest radio voices. We have to push back 10 times harder and faster than ever before, because we always had the greatest weapon, the truth.

3. They'd never agree and you'd be fired for doing it on your own. |

Right wing talk radio has blown progressive talk out of the water in every radio market where they've competed, but the institutions you mentioned never broadcast it. Why? It has nothing to do with a value judgement about the content, but it recognizes that a substantial part of the (captive) audience would be seriously pissed off about having to listen to it. It wouldn't be any different if progressive talk were substituted - a substantial number of (different) people would still be pissed. Why would a shopping mall, a hospital or any other institution want to anger a large part of their clientele whether they're conservatives or progressives? They don't, so they play innocuous content like elevator music.
Here's a good example: In 2004, Linda Ronstadt was thrown out of a Las Vegas casino after dedicating a song to Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 movie. A lot of patrons spilled their drinks, left and demanded their money back. The management told Ronstadt they hired her to sing, not to express political opinions, so they fired her.
