Mr Plouffe, tell President Obama if he wants energetic Democratic support, to instruct Congress
Edited on Sun Jan-24-10 02:54 AM by Divine Discontent
to be bold - and raise the tax rate back up on the millionaires and billionaires who have sucked from the teet of American worker sacrifice and taken our money we give their companies for overpriced insurance premium, products, fees & penalties. I know you'll sign anything that the Democratic controlled Congress would send your way that helps stabilize America for suffering millions.

Then, turn around and use the billions to enact some form of guaranteed health CARE, whatever way Congress can devise it so that it benefits the nation, for the couple hundred million Americans who really don't have enough to get by for more than a few months if they lose their job. Most people are still for health care for all, and expect Congress and the President to figure it out and JUST DO IT.

I find it very unfortunate that as a country, we have seen the top tax rate for taxable income over a specific amount, drop for the richest of Americans to about half as high as it has been over much of the past 100 years.

I notice that when America was going through a very rough period, it was raised - I am pretty sure that most Americans are for raising certain tax rates on millionaires and billionaires, and we are certainly hurting in our states, our communities, and struggling to pay basic bills in our own homes.

Maybe if you all in D.C. looked out for us we'd be energized to support the candidates.

3. Number One way to not get anything passed by Congress is to instruct it to do something

4. Bwahaha! So true... Maybe he can tell them he'll sign for big fat raises for all of 'em if they do
something for Americans who are suffering.

I wonder if they even truly realize how badly it is going for tens of millions...

8. yes, and at least they show a pulse by realizing they're on the verge of a many seat loss more than
would be 'normal', and hopefully will see that the reason they're on the verge of losing so many is because of capitulation on the issues.

Obama, if he wants reelection, needs to call out the senators who are under the control of corporate interests... first in private, then in public if they don't change. If he doesn't knock some Democratic heads - then he'll lose a good portion of the base.

6. It is as if people think he is the boss of a company and congress
is nothing but people who work for him!!!

The stupid here is incredible!

and I see from DU they have a new savior, Plouffe. Way to enable the Repukes to claim we expect a Messiah to save us while we do nothing.

DU is working hard to prove that Repuke canard.

9. David Plouffe will tell him words to that effect, believe me
good news is he thinks Rahm and the DLC/right wing of the party are incorrect in their assessment of the American people.
