Obama, Biden will hold town hall meeting Thursday in Tampa

By Alex Leary, Times Staff Writer

Published Monday, January 25, 2010

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will hold a town hall meeting Thursday afternoon at the University of Tampa.

Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will appear at Bob Martinez Sports Center, where doors will open at 11:30 a.m., according U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, D-Tampa. Castor has hinted that the president could reveal Florida has won stimulus funding for a high-speed rail line from Orlando to Tampa.

"The families and businesses in Tampa will welcome a significant jobs announcement that will surely boost our state's economy," Castor said in a statement.

Obama's visit will come one day after his State of the Union address, expected to focus on job creation.

stop campaigning already, you've got the job, now go and do it.
We want a Progressive President to pass Progressive values. We want jobs, healthcare less war..... ah fuck it

if he is going there to announce jobs, when's he coming to my city? Is he going to be like Ed McMahon and just start showing up with a big ass check?

5. A little confused by your post.
You do or don't want him to announce jobs? Or you don't care because you think he sucks anyways?
