Is anyone else sick of "journalists" asking one another "Do you think the President understands...?"
followed by what they believe to be some profound insight into one or another particular issue?

"Do you think the President understands just how important it is to win in Afghanistan?"

or

"Do you think the President understands just how serious the unemployment situation is?"

or

"Do you think the President understands how much the world's view of America matters in foreign policy?"

The self-perceived intellectual and political superiority of these people is breathtaking. I'm sure the President thanks the Lord every day that these people who have spent their lives doing little but talking are on television each night so that they can help him better "understand" the complex issues he has the arrogance and temerity to think he's qualified to handle.

3. I'm fucking tired of all of them......
Edited on Tue Nov-24-09 08:03 PM by FrenchieCat
and am no longer watching any of those channels.

Them and those here who keep saying the same shit over and over again,
aren't going to get me down.

My son in law found himself a good job, and he and my daughter are about to go househunting,
and my other daughter's boyfriend also just found a job last month,
and according to my hubby, the economy is about to really turn around.

Time is a bitch, but time will show out everything.
I've got plenty of it....

Not a problem.

8. Yay, you give me hope Frenchie! My dtr just got a great job at a top company.
Good benefits, great salary. We were afraid she and her family would lose their house! Such a relief.

Hubby has to get a job, after being laid off with 12 other people at City Hall in New Haven. It might take a long time.

As you say "time will show out everything." Lots to be happy about here...

12. +1...Yup...you just summed it up. At the end of the day, no matter
how much education and experience, you still might just not "understand".

11. K&5thR. YES! And I hate it even more when they SAY Obama doesn't understand-
that he's "too intellectual" or "unfocused" if you can believe it. It seems like they're now trying to turn him into Bush Sr.
