Here's the early Howard Hunt aspect of the breaking story on the bugging of Landrieu
"Also arrested were Joseph Basel, Stan Dai and Robert Flanagan, all 24. Flanagan is the son of William Flanagan, who is the acting U.S. attorney for the Western District of Louisiana."

That's the Howard Hunt underlining in this story. It's big.

8. Russ Baker has rewritten everything we knew about Watergate...
Edited on Tue Jan-26-10 10:38 PM by David Zephyr
and Howard Baker and John Dean are hardly the "heroes" we've all been led to believe. DU's Octafish got me to read Russ Baker's "Family of Secrets" and I'll never see Howard Baker or Howard Dean the same way again.

Thanks for the update, Beatle Boot.

By the way, that so-called "liberal" Howard Baker wound up as Ronald Reagan's Chief of Staff.

2. These idiots are extremists flaunting the law.
O'Keefe shouted "veritas," Latin for truth, as he left jail Tuesday with suspects Stan Dai and Joseph Basel, both 24. When asked to comment, "There will be a time for that," Dai said.
As he got into a cab outside the jail, O'Keefe said, "The truth shall set me free."

The truth is going to put these bastards in jail! 1St time offenders generally get off lighter but considering the gravity of the federal offense it don't look good for these creeps.

George Gordon Liddy and his fellow criminals went to prison for a while and they were first offenders.

We can only hope. I wonder what Limpballs, Becker Head and Savage will have to say about these S.O.B.'s.

9. Acting on what I believed to be executive authorization delegated to the then Attorney General"
"My involvement in the June 17, 1972 episode was this: Acting on what I believed to be executive authorization delegated to the then Attorney General" - Hunt

There's some there there, and it's big. Just not THAT big.
