The President ought to mention Howard Zinn in his speech tonight,
in a brief tribute, and recommend his "People's History" as a way to get more of America on the same page for the hard work we've got ahead of us.

1. hmmm
Now that strikes me as a Progressive dog whistle.

Whatever, Howard Zinn was a great man and a patriotic American. (I think he served on a Bomber in WW2? The mortality rate and sheer horror of serving on a bomber is incomprehensible to most of us.)

4. Unfortunately, he won't, because that would be red meat to the Sunday talk shows
and barking dogs on Fox, declaring it as proof that Obama is an anti-American socialist.
