@TheYoungTurks I think this is one of his least inspiring speeches. Looks tired and I don't think anyone is buying the non-stop bipartisanship appeal.
This comment is proof Progressives have gone nuttier than Republicans. Its a shame.

Untill now for awhile Republicans have had their way with the media getting the message out that ended tonight. He addressed the problems we faced.Pointed out what has been done to stop the fall to depression.Reminding people Bush actully proposed the bailout for banks.Pointed out Social Security,Medicare, and Medicaid are not part of spending freeze, and saying we remain ontrack for pullout In Iraq. And reminding he Intends to pull back from Afghanstain In 2011.
The MSM has always counted Obama out.He couldn't win the Nomination. He was done with Reverand Wright, and Palin was going to help Mccain win.
I have to admit I have gotten a little discroughed over the last week but this gets me worked up again.

I have felt betrayed by this guy for a year. More lies and betrayal and pandering to the Republicans and Blue Dogs would have sent me over the edge.
If the speech was really that good, can we trust him to grow a spine and follow through?

Since I've been watching him, I've seen that he usually is taking a longer view than everyone else around him. People don't see the plan right away--but in hindsight what he's done makes more sense. So I'm not standing in judgement until some time passes. Been wrong about him before and have learned to watch and see.

It was good and very much neeeded, but the speech he gave the night of his nomination was the best I've ever seen and probably will see in my lifetime. 2nd will be the speech he gave in Germany on race.
