Tea Party Fundraising Email Shows Obama as Pimp
http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/01/tea_party_fundraising_email_shows_obama_as_pimp.php?ref=fpb

A Tea Party group whose founder already has been in hot water for holding a sign that referred to taxpayers as "niggars" has doubled down on racist appeals.

TeaParty.org, a Houston-based group founded by Dale Robertson, yesterday sent an email fund-raising solicitation, obtained by TPMmuckraker, headlined "Obama Pimping Obama-Care, One Last Time!"

The photograph below -- showing the president as a stereotypical African-American pimp, sporting a pencil-thin mustache and a zebra-striped, fur-brimmed fedora, complete with a feather -- illustrated the theme:

The email goes on to explain that Democrats still plan to pass health-care reform despite Scott Brown's win in Massachusetts. It asks readers to send faxes to Congress, and to donate to TeaParty.org. And it contains an exhortatory quote from Robertson, identified as the group's "President/Founder": "I am greatly encouraged with the progress of the Tea Party, but our work has just begun!"

After a photograph emerged of Robertson holding a sign that referred to taxpayers as "niggars," Houston Tea Party activists distanced themselves from him. The photo later appeared on his own site, with the offensive message photoshopped out (you can see the photoshopped image at the top of this post).

Robertson recently complained that the RNC hadn't returned his calls. This latest move probably won't help.

2. Well I'm relieved it's that same guy and that this crap isn't considered
widespread 'cute'. Even his fellow baggers and the RNC know he's whack, and that's saying a lot!

5. Am I the only one who thinks he looks good with that mustache?
The hat's tacky, but the mustache looks good. I'll pay him $20 if he'll grow either a goatee or a mustache. It's been too long since we've had a President with facial hair!

:silly:

Bonus points if anyone can guess who the last President was with facial hair.... answer below!

President William Howard Taft (1909 - 1913) who was our 27th President. He had a mustache. Some extra trivia about President Taft:

- He is the only United States President to be appointed to the United States Supreme Court and serve as the Chief Justice. He was the 10th Chief Justice.

- He was the heaviest President we've ever had, weighing over 330 pounds, and is famous for his specially crafted bathtub that was installed for him at the White House.

- President Taft ranks third in Supreme Court appointments, appointing six Justices. This places him behind President George Washington, who appointed the entire Court - this should be obvious, he was the first President. The second President with the most appointments was President Franklin D. Roosevelt who was president for just over twelve years.

Anyway! Here is an image of President Taft.

Come on, Barrack! You know you want a 'stache like that. :P

6. And we're not supposed to call these people racists
for what reason, again? I keep hearing "Most of them aren't racists!". So I can't imagine why every single time they make news it's because they're being racist asshats.

That 'stache does look pretty awesome, though.
