It's bullshit it does nothing to lower the cost or address preexisting the only thing good is keeping kids onto your policy until 25 but that could be expensive as hell http://gopleader.gov/UploadedFiles/Summary_of_Republican_Alternative_Health_Care_plan_Updated_11-04-09.pdf

1. Young adults
Allowing young adults to stay on their parents plan was taken from the democrat's plan.

2. I wish they'd try to co-opt more of the dems ideas.
They can get behind the public option too for all I care.

4. but with the media focusing on "their" plan ...
it will appear that Dems will be "lying", saying "BUT WE'RE THE ONES WHO PROPOSED THAT!!!"

GOP banks on the media playing on the public's short attention span ...

3. Of course it is the cons have a long history of choosing insurance companies over the citizens
Back in the 70's the cons in michigan came out with no fault insurance, telling the people that it would save them billions on car insurance, limit the law suit awards and lower the cost of insurance. Well all no fault has really done is limit the cash awards from auto accidents, often leaving injured persons with unpaid medical bills and car insurance costs goes up whenever the company decides they need more cash. Not to mention that today people are not being charged on their driving records but in the area they live in and the persons credit score.

Now mind you that the area you live in doesn't mean a high accident area but a low credit score area. What that means is a person that has a good driving record can actually pay more then a driver with 47 drunk driving charges. It will be the same if cons get there way on health care. A guy with a lot of health issues pays less then the person that has good health, the insurance companies will be charging by credit scores and not by health.
