George H.W. Bush and son Jeb visit Obama at White House - AP
fwiw...

WASHINGTON (AP) — Former President George H.W. Bush and his son Jeb paid a social call on President Barack Obama at the White House Saturday.

The former president, 85, walked gingerly into the White House, using a cane, as heavy snow fell. He departed 35 minutes later, telling reporters it was a "good meeting, good meeting."

His son Jeb, a former governor of Florida, was with him.

White House aides said the visit was simply a social call because the former president was in Washington for a dinner.

2. No, they probably had some national security threat to level against Obama.

9. I would ask why GHWB was in town and needed to be there?
And 35 minutes is an awful short time.

5. I'm okay with that. GHWB actually turned around some of RR's most nefarious policies
but, gave us Clarence Thomas.

Evidently, he and GWB never got on well, hence GWB's looking to a 'higher father' for advice. No wonder GHWB likes Bubba better than W.

11. Well, Jeb was the favored one.
W was the screw up.

Poppy was in town and wanted to see Obama. Seems weird as to why but...

12. Hope they fumigated.
Remember all those Obama fans in Washington's Dupont Circle the weekend before his inauguration - who performed a giant saging ceremony - burning sage to purify the city of bush/cheney evil spirits? We did that here at our house, too!
