I know it's Rasmussen, but if even enemy territory says you're doing good, it's probably true.

1. He is up to 50% approval on Rasmussen, higher then Gallup.
Obviously a bounce since the SOTU and the House GOP ass kicking, though their overall numbers and parsing of info into a Presidential approval index is utter crap. The overall trend is good.

Obama's approval rating being a "toss-up"-at 47% approval and 47% disapproval. They had him on when Gallup had Obama go below 50% for the first time, too. But when he rose above 50% again, MSNBC conveniently used their OWN poll which had him at 47% approval. :eyes:

2. I think a lot of those points came from people who watch FOX.
Sorry I can't remember where I read or heard this, but yesterday there were quite a number of RW Foxers watched Obama's Q&A with the Pubs in Balt. Their response was "He's not the monster that I've been told he was!" When asked who told them that, they said I hear it on FOX all the time.

I wouldn't be surprised if his numbers were even higher on Mon. and there are more polls completed. between doing really well in Balt. & his emphasis on jobs in the STOU, I can't see how they wouldn't go much higher.

5. I have a question about Faux "News"....

Isn't the reason that their ratings are so high is that the fans of Faux are only watching one station and the other stations are divided
in sharing their ratings.

7. Some Banks have them and many airports

I gave WellsF a piece of my mind one day and the next time I came in there they had another station.

I went up and praised them for it.

My rule is to go up to the Manager and start complaining.

9. It's not only hotels, AP's, and banks! ?That damn channel is on
is on in the DR's offices, Dentists, waiting areas at a dealership where you wait while they're working on your car, at the spirit shop where I shop.....

Thank God I don't frequent many of those places and when I'm there, it's never for very long!

3. I believe this poll because his SOTU speech and his showdown with the GOP favored him well.
His focus now on jobs, jobs, jobs is a real positive move.

If he can couple this with something concrete toward the housing crisis, he would really jump in the polls.

Bringing the troops home from Iraq is also going to help him a lot.

4. He showed very clearly.....
he is a down-to-earth intelligent man that cares about our country.....not the Muslim monster planning to destroy America, as they have been repeatedly told.

8. Funny how Rasmussen always polled B*sh 5 to 8 points higher than other polls
did, but now they're polling Obama 5 to 8 points LOWER than other polls do.

I think Rasmussen is more of a 'poll-pushing' organization than a 'poll-taking' organization.

Still, I'm sure they are moving their numbers up now so as not to look too stupid when all the other polls show Obama 20 points ahead of where rASS has him.
