Exposing hate sites and whether DU should be involved.
Edited on Sun Feb-28-10 09:20 PM by TheBigotBasher
If phone-lines to Democratic Party campaign head quarters are being tied up - does the campaign need to know where it is co-ordinated from? If donors to the Democratic Party are getting hate calls from teabaggers do they have a right to find out where they are coming from?

If death threats are made against Democratic Party supporters shouldn't they be exposed and shouldn't the vast distinction of how "threats" were treated when the Shrub was President compared to the treatment of the right be exposed?

This is not an attack on the mods who have a hard job as it is, it is simply a question about whether DU should be a forum to expose hate sites - especially in the run up to the mid term elections.

6. It's a hate site. period.
No need to make such distinctions. I read references to Obama turning the country into a "plantation," and read enough.

Disgusting...all of it.

5. BB, you know that I consider you family
but if you think you can expose every hate site on the Internet, even amongst Democrats and "liberals" towards this President, it will be the equivalent of four full-time jobs.

Alot of them have already been identified due to the fact that you cannot mention them here on DU without getting your post deleted.

7. I am always grateful for your support.
Your post about double standards rings increasingly true.

Amy Siskind, a go to media "feminist" can happily give a hate site the IP addresses of those who spoke out against her on Huffington Post, so that they can visit a woman blogger with cricket bats.

The owners of Hillbuzz and Hillaryis44 can go to Democratic Party functions to get the names of donors in order to give them to Tea Partiers and nothing is said or done about it.

People wore anti war t-shirts near hotels Bush was speaking at and they got arrested?

WTF?

8. I will admit I am in two minds about exposing hate sites
Edited on Sun Feb-28-10 10:27 PM by TheBigotBasher
I was at the end of their death threats. They are real. Thankfully I live in the UK, so they are not exactly credible. However, a blog I used to post at had real threats made against the blog owner, his wife and their daughter. So called feminist Amy Siskind joined in the threats against a woman blogger I linked to, they threatened to discuss hillbuzz with her using cricket bats.

These sites have threatened to use the same tactics against supporters of the Democratic Party. Should they be exposed?

The only reason I am in two minds of this is not because of them, but simply if you let it be known, people may be put off, if you do not they may put people off.
