Call, call, call, call, call
"And I urge every American who wants this reform to make their voice heard as well – every family, every business owner, every patient, every doctor, every nurse".

Makes calls, people.

1. No. I will not. This is not health care reform.
Edited on Wed Mar-03-10 02:36 PM by closeupready
Look at the other thread: "health insurance reform", not "health care reform." What a joke.

25. It really is. It's like that thread yesterday - "this is not your father's Democratic Party"
or whatever the language was. Having grown accustomed to table scraps, we see people here beseeching members to clamor for them, when we should be getting meat and potatoes. Yes, very sad.

31. Is it imperfect and beneficial or is it imperfect and harmful, though?
Those are the two essential views here - some say it's imperfect but better than the status quo - others say it actually makes things worse by financially strengthening (using the coercive power of government) the very self-serving parties who have gotten us to this sad state to begin with. Sorry, but I see it as being harmful.

health insurance reform. Wake up and smell the coffee! Health care reform IS health insurance reform.

39. You can't have access to health care by
digging the crooks who broke the system in deeper by handing them millions of new victims.

The insurance companies make their money by keeping people from getting care - and they will continue to do so.

the hell out of the way ! Enough is enough. We have a chance to make some history and do SOMETHING here. Enough, enough, enough of the naysaying HORSESHIT !

40. If the best that can be done is a bill that does nothing but
transer more public money to a corrupt private industry, then we're better off with nothing. There will be no improvements - any more than those NAFTA fixes ever came about.

This bill does not make history, it just reenforces the status quo.

of private products is historic.

35. Called and thanked him for holding his ground, this part of the speech
today was a slap in the face.

"...Last Thursday, I spent seven hours at a summit where Democrats and Republicans engaged in a public and substantive discussion about health care. This meeting capped off a debate that began with a similar summit nearly one year ago. Since then, every idea has been put on the table. Every argument has been made. Everything there is to say about health care has been said and just about everyone has said it..."
