You'd think that the GOP would love Obama's so-called "nuclear option"

According to the GOP predictions, if Obama "rams through" the health care legislation with a "mere" 51 votes, then the Dems would be slaughtered in the upcoming 2010 elections.

If the GOP are correct, and the Dems are committing electoral suicide by this move, then why are they so worried?

4. That's a pretty good question
historically the Republicans have hated the Dems and want nothing but bad things for them. So to say it would hurt them in the election is either a huge bluff or a start of a election false talking point (or both).
