I mean will his crappy no vote kill us? Does he have a big following in the House? Except for the Rs of course. Blow off his nasty women hating amendment and let's get on with it.
He sounded drunk on Hardball BTW

|
It's not like HCR is forcing anyone to have an abortion. Good grief, get a grip Mr. Stupak.

13. Mr. Stupak lives at the infamous house on C Street--owned by The Fellowship. |
|
Edited on Wed Mar-03-10 07:47 PM by flpoljunkie
Rachel Maddow has covered this house on C. Street and its boarders for quite some time now.
Stupak's concern is not for women's health. He aims to deny them their reproductive rights guaranteed by Roe v. Wade.
To vote against healthcare for over 30 million people, including women and families, to get his way on this is wholly unconscionable. Shame on him and those who would do the same.

12. Actually he's not from the thumb part |
|
His district excludes the thumb.
He's from the rabbit ears and legs part of the UP.
But he's still got a thumb up there for sure.

14. So what, exactly, do those colorful terms for parts of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan mean |
|
in political terms?
(the only things I know about the area is that the fishing is good and it's the American home of Cornish pasties.)

They always hold their right hand pointed to the floor with their thumb out and say "it is the thumb part"

21. Lived here all my life and never heard that |
|
Here are the rules:
Lower Penninsula:
1) You turn your right hand inward so that your palm is facing you
or
2) You hold your left hand outward so that the back of your hand is facing you
Upper Penninsula:
1) You hold your left hand inward so that your thumb becomes the Keewanaw
2) holding your right hand outward so the thumb represents the Keewanaw like in number 1 above, but it hurts and is impractical.
So you can represent the entire state with your hands by doing the following:
Left hand, palm inward, thumb as the Keewanaw - hand facing horizontally. Right hand palm inward, thumb as the "thumb of the mit" of the lower penninsula - hand facing perpendicular to your left hand.
If you're lucky enough to have two hands, you'll never get lost.

Your zip code indicates that you are outside of the 1st District of Michigan.
Regrettably, I am unable to reply to any email from constituents outside of the 1st District of Michigan.

20. Constantly misrepresents position as same as Hyde, but his makes all insurance harder for abortion. |
|
None of the pro-life (and hate the term) ever concede woman's rights or health issues, or that ending life is always a hard decision but sometimes necessary. Especially the so-called late term abortions.
