The talk about using reconciliation, as if it's proof that Dems are being tough is amusing.

They're going to hammer a bill through reconciliation that the insurance companies wrote in Baucus' committee? Those Dems are out of control! Of course, the idea of being tough, turning reconciliation back on the Republicans, getting a real HCR bill done and not taking "no" for an answer on something that people actually wanted was originally a progressive/liberal idea. Only it was not about using reconciliation for the Baucus/insurance company plan. It was about using reconciliation to pass a PO. You know, a safety net, competition, saving the country hundreds of billions, no more business as usual, game changing reform.
No spine = no vote.
