The President & Democrats created a VERY bipartisan bill, it's time for the
media and Democrats to hit it home that just because the Modern Confederate Party can't take yes for an answer and believes in scorched Earch politics, does not mean that the bill is not bipartisan.

Democrats need to hit hard and strong on this.

The Confederates are TERRIFIED right now, just listen to their ramped up bullshit (even by their crazy ass standards).

And remember and anytime someone says that his is a gift to big insurance, one only needs to look at how much money and how hard big insurance is STILL fighting this (and obviously has not supported of any of the reforms).

We have this. We have them. Democrats just need to follow through.

Even the corporate conservative media can't avoid the narrative of the passing of this legislation and the narrative WILL change.

Victory and actual real world help for people.

The Confederates know this and this is why they are so fucking scared and desperate to stop it.

1. The key is to control the media talking points
in needs to be about the bill instead of the GOP endorsed reconciliation

2. Bipartisan bill with no republican support. What a joke.
We could have had a public option. Sigh.

3. A "bipartisan bill" with no repuke votes will piss some people off with the Dems!
People will say, "Let me get this straight, you watered down a bill for votes that you didn't even get, and I'm supposed to be happy about this? If you weren't going to get the votes anyway, and you didn't REALLY need them, why not pass actual health reform? If you didn't water it down for repuke votes (and clearly you didn't since you proved you didn't need them) why did you do it? PR? Lobbyists? Political gamesmanship?"

I can imagine that's what I'd say if the Dems start promoting the fact that they made a lot of concessions on "repuke" issues and got not 1 single vote in return.

7. So what is the WH thinking and why are they doing this?
They aren't stupid. Are they too "strategic"? Is this about keeping independents on board for 2010 and 2012?

10. Bipartisan?...I don't think so.
The latest incarnation (The Senate Bill with Obama's picture on the label) has given the Republicans/Corporations everything they want.
So we are left with a Republican Bill, but the Republicans haven't had to take ANY Political Risk.
Not many people are going to be happy with this bill, especially when the bills start coming in.

ALL the Republicans have to do now is sit back and say "Yep. We opposed it."

* Would you favor or oppose the national government offering everyone the choice of a government administered health insurance plan — something like the Medicare coverage that people 65 and older get — that would compete with private health insurance plans?

Favor 82%

Oppose 14%

Not Sure 4%

"There are forces within the Democratic Party who want us to sound like kinder, gentler Republicans. I want us to compete for that great mass of voters that want a party that will stand up for working Americans, family farmers, and people who haven't felt the benefits of the economic upturn."---Paul Wellstone

12. Simplistic?
Look up the children's tale of Brer Rabbit & The Briar Patch.
Then get back to me.

16. I realze that abstraction is dfficult for some people.
Go back and read Brer Rabbit and the Briar Patch again.
Then, ask yourself "How could this apply to the Health Insurance Corporations and the current Senate Bill?"

If you still are unable to see the comparison, go ask your mother to help you.

15. Bipartisan?
There's little or nothing Democratic left in it, and yet not a single Repuke will vote for it. Funny definition of "bipartisan".
