1. What? I have no idea what you are trying to say.
What do Lincoln and Jesus have to do with anything?

goes on behind closed doors, thought?

28. He didn't have to say anything at all. He could have let the primary
work its way out. Why the rush to endorse this Republican aiding DINO?

30. cause, in case you have not been paying attention ...
to current events ...

The mushy soft middle in congress sits almost 100% on the democratic side of the isle ...

You can count on one hand the number of Rs in BOTH houses who are not batshiite crazy, ideologically deranged children who will vote 100% in line with however the caucus is voting ...

Point being - you may not get this, but if Lincoln loses, it won't be to a great progressive in the primary, it will be to a jaggoff R in the general ...

DINO's pain me at times, too. But, in the real world, the tradeoff now is a DINO for a piece of garbage, gutless, vote with the party R ...

I am thinking the guy who managed to win the presidency gets that, too ...

9. Why should he be? He isn't bothered by lieberman or lieberman's support of palin and mccain
In fact lieberman was rewarded by retaining his chairmanships

He isn't bothered by Nelson of Nebraska, in fact paid DNC ads against the public option for Nelson were used in Nebraska

He isn't bothered by republicans either, because he does everything thing to insure that they have more of a say in the healthcare debate than the so-called "liberals"

Nope, I think it is very consistent

12. This Blanched Lincoln thing is like watching the Lamont/Lieberman race
Edited on Thu Mar-04-10 08:14 PM by boston bean
where many dems in high places supported Lieberman.

In fact, Obama did...:

"I know that some in the party have differences with Joe," Senator Obama said, all but silencing the crowd. "I'm going to go ahead and say it. It's the elephant in the room. And Joe and I don't agree on everything. But what I know is, Joe Lieberman's a man with a good heart, with a keen intellect, who cares about the working families of America."

Then, with applause beginning to build, he finished the thought: "I am absolutely certain that Connecticut's going to have the good sense to send Joe Lieberman back to the United States Senate." That time, people cheered loudly.

http://www.talkleft.com/story/2006/04/02/164/90446

He was right about one thing, Lieberman was the ELEPHANT in the room...

25. There will be consequences when you bend to the opposition
and less to your base

That does not necessarily translate to a republican victory, since I do not believe the independents embrace the republicans either, but it does alienate the base, and makes elections much more uncertain

There was so much hope at the beginning of last year, no there is just general dissatisfaction to both parties peril

better without it. So why do you suppose Obama's showing support? I think I know.

17. First, you should clearly identify which Clinton you are talking about
I know you referred to him as "big dog", but the guy does have a name. Second, as someone else mentioned, President Obama doesn't need to go apeshit over everything that happens. He'll support whichever D who comes out of the primary. Personally, I'm not thrilled about Lincoln as she is too conservative on somethings.

18. Obama is not going to get that involved in primary fights. And he shouldn't in most cases.
Bill Clinton as former Governor of Arkansas is probably paying back some of the chips that he owes. To him it probably is the best way.

Until this election is done, Obama still needs to work with Blanche Lincoln. He's doing what most other presidents would have done.

21. He doesn't need to have an opinion about everything
and you don't need to worry about him agreeing with you on every little thing either.

he's got a big job and he's got to pick his battles.

taking sides in primary election of Democrats, which Arkansans will sort out is something he can leave them to do because they'll do it anyway.
