Major milestone in Iraq today--I hope President Obama acknowledges it publicly

Today's parliamentary elections in Iraq are critical to the future of the US military presence there. It is also humbling to see these citizens exercise their right to vote in the face of violence, although it has been greatly reduced since the last election.

I think that this event should be the focus of the administration this weekend, and the lead topic for all of its mouthpieces on the Sunday shows.
