Dennis Speaks For Me
He does not support the pharma/insurance giveaway that is being called "reform."

He is speaking against mandates too. "

"You're voting on privatizing our health care system."

"What they have proposed so far isn't any different than what I've voted against."

He's pissed and I don't blame him."

Go get 'em Dennis!:patriot: :headbang:

2. Would you feel the same way if your income was low enough that you would get free health insurance?
or you could not get coverage at all because of a pre-existing condition. In some ways I am against the bill as well and it might should be voted down - but don't simply forget the people who it helps that we doom by not voting for it.

He's really no different that Joe Lieberman IMO. He's incapable of putting his own self-centered ego stroking aside long enough to do what is best for his constituents. He's mad because he didn't get his way on single payer. Tough.

Dennis needs to act like an adult and stop demonstrating why he will never be president.

Someday, when you get done with your hero worship, you figure that out. Just because you are on the same side on the issues, doesn't mean he's not motivated by the same self-centered ego stroking. He's a child who throws temper tantrums because he doesn't get his way. I see little difference between the two other than the issues that demand everyone agree with them on.

Forced to buy insurance or pay fines, but he won't be able to afford the deductibles and co-pays. He might get check ups and screening, but it would be more cost effective for him to just pay out of pocket for those.

I hope he forgives you for supporting this nonsense.

62. That's a worthy goal but politically unattainable.
Edited on Mon Mar-08-10 10:31 PM by jefferson_dem
This reform package is barely hanging on by the thinnest string. Don't you think we would be seeing what you want -- which is more robust - if it could pass? In fact, this more tepid bill couldn't even pass the Senate now with Brown installed into Teddy's seat. So...your goal sounds great...but there's zero chance it will happen.

So, I ask again -- HOW (not what) do we get something better?

63. So, we aren't going to see the Senate pass a bill to fix anything under reconciliation?
Is that just smoke being blown up the House's skirt? You know, once again?

64. I fully expect (and will demand) the Senate FIX the bill via reconciliation.
That's the "sidecar" to the reform bill which the House must vote on. Not sure if a public option will be part of that ... but I hope so.

pass improvements they will vote for it. The campaign to hammer 50 votes out of the Senate for a PO under reconciliation continues. Perhaps a little heat from a House progressive will encourage the fence sitters. I believe DK would vote for this bill if he thought he would come down to the deciding vote. I don't think it will come down to that 1 vote but I'm not going to fault him for using what leverage he may have to improve the bill when the Blue Dogs basically got everything they wanted with their obstructionism.

54. Dennis Speaks Out of His Failed Ass
The guy has done nothing except pad his wallet with contributions from suckers who thought he would be a serious candidate. Then he got less votes than Al Sharpton. Less than 2%.

He has done nothing for the Democratic Party except offer an embarrassing figure of self-absorbed asshattery to the Freepers.

Resign Kucinich. Sell moon crystals at some fucking mall, you dork.

Again, I'm sorry about your little family member.

Edited on Tue Mar-09-10 12:56 AM by FrenchieCat
He was declared cancer free last year (takes 5 years),
after fighting through Melanoma state 3-4....which I understand
is extra rare in children as young as he was at the time....
I believe that they had never seen a case in one so young,
as Melanoma is something one develops over time normally.
He was just over at St. Jude in Memphis last month for his
annual check up. Thank God for St. Jude!!

Problem of course is that unless HCR goes through,
insurance companies will continue to not want to touch him.

to score points for Obamacare, when you are in a position to offer him financial support that would get him the care he you say he needs and lacks.

It's a bit of a disconnect.
