More Connie Saltonstall news (she's challenging Bart in the primary)
Ex-supporter to run against Stupak over anti-abortion funding stance

A Democratic activist announced today she's challenging Rep. Bart Stupak out of her frustration that his hard line on abortion funding threatens to derail sweeping health care legislation pending in Congress.

snip

"I decided to run because people were asking for a candidate because they were mad about the health care issue. It's his willingness to not have health care pass over his abortion position that has people like me upset."

snip

She said she won't drop her primary challenge if Congress passes health care legislation.

"His behavior has caused so much distrust," she said. "He showed he was willing to sacrifice health care."

13. She has her works cut out
That section of the state would go either Republican or conservative Democrat. A liberal Democrat has a tough, tough climb.

16. I see Repubs crossing over to vote for her in the primary in an effort to win the seat.
Republicans have targeted Stupak in the past and failed but they may see this as the best way of defeating him and winning the seat in the general election.

17. That will only get her in the GE
If she makes it that far, she still has a hard way to go.

12. No,
it doesn't say that she's a republican, the article is just written by a user called "Republican for Health Reform".
