If born in 1890 Kucinich probably would not have voted for FDR

Had he been an adult at the time Dennis Kucinich would have spent World War I in federal prison for speaking out against the draft.

Things that got you 10-20 years in prison under the Sedition Act of 1918: "obstructing the sale of U.S. war bonds, discouraging recruitment, uttering “disloyal or abusive language” about the government, the Constitution, the American flag, or even the U.S. military uniform."

Yes, 10-20 in the big house for pointing out that those Smokey the bear lookin' WWI uniforms looked silly.

I don't know what the franchise implications were back then for felony convictions, but if the disenfranchisement of felons was around then Kucinich would probably not have been able to vote for FDR in 1932. Or anyone else.

Just my contribution to the "things Kucinich wouldn't have voted for" genre.
