Poll question: When health care reform is passed. . .
It looks like we are in the last week of the first phase of health care reform and it will most likely pass. Regardless of how imperfect the legislation is it will be historic in its reforms and close to 30 million more Americans will receive health care coverage, how will you react?

2. I expect to feel disgusted as I watch Democratic Senators and Reps...

...applauding for themselves over the supposed accomplishment of handing billions to private corporations for work the government itself could do better and more cheaply.

4. I picked the first but...
I can multitask and would like to fix it AND work on other issues.

The fixing tho, like medicare and Social security will always be ongoing.

6. Yes, and they are still trying to 'fix' social security,
in fact they are salivating at the opportunity! Granted, it's not going to be a fix you or I like, but do you think they care? This is not the 60s, 70s or 80s. Our government now a wholly owned subsidiary of the corporations & it only does their bidding. The only 'fix' this bill will see, will be the reversal of the few regulations it has, once the repubs are back in charge. And they won't even need a super majority to do it. :eyes: This will only further entrench the corrupt, greedy, for-profit health care industry into our already failed health 'care' system.

The American People have been had. The two party system is a facade to make you believe that there is someone fighting for you & yours.

8. They are passing health insurance reform, not health care reform
It will be an historic BOHICA moment for the American working class!

9. I'll be interested to see the spin if the Democrats manage to get this turd out of the living room
How will Democrats spin a mandate to buy insurance without the choice of a public option or a medicate buy in?

How will Republicans spin McCain's tax on people who have good cover?

10. The First will be the ONLY phase.
We're already being led down the primrose path to defeat in November.

12. Wait and see
just how effective or not it is. If not, I hope they make the necessary changes. If it is, I will applaud those involved for getting it right.

I think we all need to just wait and see. Just because they "pass" something, it doesn't necessarily mean it will be effective.
