Poll question: which of the following bills would Obama VETO if put on his desk? |
|
Edited on Sat Mar-13-10 07:59 AM by CTLawGuy
that is, Congress passed them and they are sitting on his desk and only needing a signature to become law. Feel free to state your rationale.

1. Unless your choice is #4, all of them, |
|
then your job is to get the bill to his desk through Congress. Dennis Kucinich, Anthony Weiner, Alan Grayson, Bernie Sanders, Russ Feingold, would be great places to start.

If they made it to his desk, Obama would happily sign any of those into law.

Clearly that's not true, but you are invigorated at the prospect of sliming Obama. Disgusting.

12. The evidence is in Obama's deeds, not his lofty words |
|
Obama doesn't want a public option, and he never did.

16. When did he get a bill with a strong public option or a single payer to sign. |
|
So, what are you talking about.

Congress won't pass a bill that doesn't have a certain amount of approval from Big Pharma and Big Insurance.

President would sign it. What I don't expect from him or the Democratic Party leadership is for either the President or the Democratic Party congressional leadership to take a strong enough stand to move the political will of Congress in that direction and to genuinely confront the power of special interest and make this or any other major and sweeping progressive action actually happen; action that actually challenges and opposes in a major way the power of the moneyed interest that actually run the country.

15. None of them. That has to be the most stupid question I have read in a while. Get your two senators |
|
to vote for any of these bills and get 58 other ones, then get half of the House to do so, and Obama will sign the bill.

although they have no proof since this President has never vetoed a bill as of yet, but don't let the facts get in the way of your bash fest.
