he's 3 for 97 on bills, the 3 he did pass were of little consequence. now he's grandstanding and voting against everything. he literally offers no value. why you guys consider him the embodyment of all that is good and just is just.. bizarre.
:rofl:, indeed.

Yes, Kucinich is attacked from time-to-tome, but each time that I can remember, he was the one that set things into motion with a particularly poorly timed TV interview. He seems to like to spout off at the least opportune times. That's my opinion, but I have a feeling that many people here would agree with me.

Just a child who never really did anything to deserve the credit he gets from the self-proclaimed "Progressives". Like them, he is against progress. It's all about juvenile righteousness. Pathetic.

because you see, righteousness is what some of us seek. You detractors of the righteous are juveniles. Those who cannot stand by their convictions are pathetic. "Righteousness (also called rectitude) is an important theological concept in Judaism and Christianity. It is an attribute that implies that a person's actions are justified, and can have the connotation that the person has been "judged" or "reckoned" as leading a life that is pleasing to God." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Righteousness:shrug:

keep your corrupt deals and worthless nonregulation and wars and letting the bushes walk free. Hold hands with the trickle downers. Keep your daily footsies with the rethugs, in return for no real reconciliation and nothing but constant epic failure. see how far that gets you. You're a REAL adult. congrats.

12. Valuable for whom? If there were more Kucinich in the House and the Senate, we may be able to |
|
get decent healthcare bill or finance regulation bill.
Compared to Mark Warner refusing to change student loans, or Claire McCaskill voting against extending TANF (and in both cases more because of concerns for big businesses than poor people), I am not exactly sure why Kucinich is not valuable.
Of course, if the goal is to have Democrats who will agree with the White House on everything, may be Kucinich is not valuable, but as a balance against Ben Nelson or Cooper, he is extremely valuable.

"The original version of the ratings built in an exception for what I termed "liberal nos": votes that a Democratic member cast against his party's agenda, but which he justified by stating that the policy under consideration was not liberal enough. We did not count the liberal no votes as yes votes -- we just threw them out, treating them as non-votes instead.
But what if we don't build in an exception for the so-called "liberal no's" -- that is, simply take every vote at face value? It turns out, then, that Davis is no longer the least valuable Democrat. Instead, it is Dennis Kucinich, who voted against health care, the hate crimes bill, the budget, the cap-and-trade bill, and financial regulation -- all ostensibly from the left -- in spite of coming from from the strongly Democratic Ohio 10th district near Cleveland."
If I lived in Kucinich's strongly Democratic Ohio 10th district I would still vote for him. Why would I do that even though he betrayed the current party leadership? Because the party leadership betrayed us all first. "There was once a man named George McGovern who was at least as big a pain in the ass as Kucinich is now, and for the same reasons. When this McGovern fellow retired he had a nickname, 'Conscience of the Democratic Party.'"
Fortunately if Ohio's 10th district is as liberal as they say, Kucinich isn't going anywhere, and that is a good thing. I'm of the opinion that the more people we have in congress pulling the party to the left, regardless of whether or not they get on the left wing of the corporatist party's bandwagon, is better in the long run for the ultimate health of this country.Q3JR4.

<snip from your article>
"The analysis concluded that TN-6's Bart Gordon, who voted with the Democrats on 8 of 10 key agenda items in spite of coming from a R+13 district, had provided the most value to his party on key votes. (Unfortunately for Democrats, Gordon is retiring.) Artur Davis of AL-7, who has voted against several major agenda items because he is running for governor in Alabama, was the least valuable Democrat."
