Republican hopeful (and chicken look a like) has some strange horse fantasies.

sorry wrong pic

J.D. Hayworth, the tebaggers favourite who is challenging Senator John McCain in the Arizona Republican primary, has revealed he has some very questionable thought processes. He told a Florida radio interview that he was in support of a Constitutional ban on same Sex marriage because otherwise, men may be persuaded to marry horses. I blame the horses, they are such flirts. Men after all you just can't trust 'em.

"You see, the Massachusetts Supreme Court, when it started this move toward same-sex marriage, actually defined marriage -- now get this -- it defined marriage as simply, 'the establishment of intimacy,' " Hayworth said. "Now how dangerous is that? I mean, I don't mean to be absurd about it, but I guess I can make the point of absurdity with an absurd point -- I guess that would mean if you really had affection for your horse, I guess you could marry your horse. It's just the wrong way to go, and the only way to protect the institution of marriage is with that federal marriage amendment that I support."

I'm not sure what films Mr Hayworth has been watching, but I could see why he may be disturbed if he picked up a wrong copy of animal farm. He has indeed got a very very strange attitude.

If he ever did get elected, I'd apply the Glenn Beck rule to him - watch this one, he could end up with a dead intern or a live horse.

master the art of signing their names and contracts or licenses then Hayworth can get back to us.

Hayworth is a prime example of stupid.

5. In psychological circles that would be called "projection".
Edited on Mon Mar-15-10 01:58 PM by BrklynLiberal
Psychological projection or projection bias (including Freudian Projection) is the unconscious act of denial of a person's own attributes, thoughts, and emotions, which are then ascribed to the outside world, such as to the weather, the government, a tool, or to other people. In some cases, sexual attraction to horses Thus, it involves imagining or projecting that others have those feelings.

Projection is considered one of the most profound and subtle of human psychological processes, and extremely difficult to work with, because by its nature it is hidden. It is the fundamental mechanism by which we keep ourselves uninformed about ourselves. Humor has great value in any attempt to work with projection, because humor presents a forgiving posture and thereby removes the threatening nature of any inquiry into the truth.

Paleo-anthropologically speaking, this faculty probably had survival value as a self-defense mechanism when homo sapiens' intellectual capacity to detect deception in others improved to the point that the only sure hope to deceive was for deceivers to be self-deceived and therefore behave as if they were being truthful.

I thought he'd vacated the political stage after his bestiality-friendly interview with Colmes.

Jesus, and to think we'd reject John Edwards for having sex with a woman.

19. Uh, no
Animals can't consent to marry, so there goes that dumb argument out the window. And bestiality is illegal in all but three states, so there's another strike against this nonsense.
